Origin
Rise
Evolution
The year was 1889. The world was moving forward, yet something was still missing. As 1890 arrived, a visionary by the name of Conrad Hubert changed the course of the lighting industry. He invented the first electric flashlight, consisting of dry-cell batteries, and with it, the Eveready Battery Company was born. The rest, as they say, is history.
Launch of the Iconic
Give Me Red Campaign
In the early nineties, we took India by storm with our iconic Give Me Red campaign. Bold, edgy, and instantly relatable, it connected with the youth and soon became a trend. From Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic, “If you’re not red, you’re dead” to Akshay Kumar’s ‘Full Full Masala’, ‘Chhupa Rustam’ and lighting ads, every ad in this campaign brought the power of red to life, giving Eveready the identity it has today. Launched ahead of its time, Give Me Red remains one of India’s most iconic slogans, etched in the minds and hearts of people even today.
